Re: Still looking for the Irish Tv...?
To be honest, you'll struggle to get a 1-2Mb upload from the ROI, their broadband internet is not as well developed as in the US/continental Europe. You might be lucky and find somebody in the UK using Sky with a ROI viewing card (as I used to do).

Re: Still looking for the Irish Tv...?
Yes I know Maccy, to get over 1 MB upload will be tough, but since i am willing to swap one of my HD setups on a 4mb upload Modem I would want to get at least 1.5-2mb upload or more from their setup
I actually am doing a swap right now, person is in the UK with a Irish Sky DVR box, problem is he has 1mb upload but i only get 600-700k average on my end, and its a shared setup so I can only watch certain times a day. Dont mind the shared setup that much as I can watch from 6pm ET which is Midnight UK time so ithe shared works well, just 600k iis impossible to watch the GAA sports :( So I am looking for something better
I know its a longshot to get someone with Over 1mb upload but Im still looking.. :)
P.S. How are you doing Maccy, long time no talk to....

Re: Still looking for the Irish Tv...?
Getting a fast upload speed even in the UK can be tricky. My ISP will do a max of 1.3MB and that's only if you are very close to the nearest exchange. The top cable broadband packages will do around 1.5MB but coverage is limited to the few at the moment and those packages are expensive. The situation in Ireland is even worse but with time I am sure they'll get there.
Hope business is going well. Doing just fine here. I am missing DIRECTV a bit - I have access to Bell in Canada but the download speed never gets over 1000k :(

Re: Still looking for the Irish Tv...?
Well Maccy if you are really missing Directv maybe we can make some sort of Deal :)
You try to get me what I need with the Irish Sky and we can make a deal with a Full Slingbox setup from me on a much higher upload modem
You know i will get you a Lot more then 1000k speeds from my rentals, you will get at least Double that :)
Email me back at slingboxnyc@yahoo.com so we can discuss this more
Mike
